Pros:House cleaning staff was awesome!! Access to the Kellogg Arena was exceptional.
Cons:Did not like the way my family was treated at the restaurant inside the hotel. The staff was unorganized and unfriendly. Also, did not like the security guards in the pool area.
Pros:Most everything was fine. I've stayed here many times when visiting family in Battle Creek. The valet parking is fine, the rooms are okay, and I usually have few complaints.
Cons:BUT - the noise can be really bad during large events at the attached convention center. Idiot midwestern families occupying multiple rooms seem to like to shout down the hallways as if they were in their own home instead of a shared facility. The worst, though, is that the staff apparently don't bother to reprogram the alarm clocks on the nightstands between guests. Cue me getting woken up out of a deep sleep at 5 a.m., having to yank the damn clock out of the wall to get it to shut up, and never getting back to sleep. UNACCEPTABLE.
Pros:Staff was so helpful and friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. Close to everything .. Walkable downtown .
Pros:Hotel is a bit run down, but I was just staying for one night and could put up with run down so long as clean. The minute we entered the hall way of the 6th floor where we stayed, we couldn't get past the musty chemical smell. We arrived late, and were leaving for another engagement so didn't really have time to change our plans. Room was adequate but had the same smell. If it weren't for the smell wouldn't have been too bad. They also meessed up my reservation, had requested a king bed but got two queen bed room instead. Again, we were in a bit of a hurry so didn't tell front desk as it wasn't a huge deal. On positive note, the staff was very nice,
Cons:On website of hotel, mentions that they have a shuttle service to the casino. The day we were there, there was no shuttle service so we took a cab to casino. $15 cab ride, so not that big of deal.
